Dr. Agbo and Dr. Collette
Dr. Felix Agbo has enjoyed the rare advantage of exposure to intercontinental practice experience as a board certified physician in Europe, the Caribbean and now in the US.
In Dr. Felix’s childhood eyes, the concept of a physician was that of a person that takes care of myriad of human ailments typified by the practice of medicine as a primary care physician. This philosophy has continued to guide Dr. Felix in his quest for professional excellence as reflected in the comprehensive and well rounded training and board certifications across the globe.
His MD degree was earned with honors in the College of Medicine, Enugu which was an affiliate of the University college Hospital London. He proceeded with board certification in reproductive health from the Royal college of Obstetricians and Gynecology in England after primary care practice in the Caribbean. Dr. Felix received his internship at the North General Hospital in Manhattan NY and completed his residency training in combined Internal Medicine and Primary care program at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, NY.
Dr. Felix distinguished himself during Internship by winning the prestigious BEST INTERN OF THE YEAR award in recognition of his tireless dedication in the care of patients and his willingness to be attentive to his patients’ problems coupled with unequaled result-oriented problem solving skills. He was appointed as Acting Chief Resident in senior year- testimony to his leadership abilities and consistent ability in the application of evidence based medicine in the care of his patients. He has continued to make multiple scientific presentations and published papers in the areas of Internal Medicine and Reproductive health. Dr. Felix is a firm believer in the value of the application of evidence based medicine and has actively participated in research and the teaching of medical students and residents.
The people of this world are living longer thus imposing limitless responsibilities on physicians everywhere to be proficient in the care of their patients in the senior years by the application of evidence based medicine. This foundation of evidence based medicine has continued to guide his practice system all these years and more recently as lead adult Internal Medicine and Geriatric physician in a multi-specialty group here in central Florida that culminated in the establishment of a first class adult Internal medicine specialist group in Lake Sumpter Landing in The Villages, Florida. Dr. Felix continues to fortify this foundation by maintaining active membership with the American college of Physicians, American Medical Association, The Southern Medical Association and the Royal college of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
He has active privileges both at The Villages Regional Hospital and the Leesburg Regional Hospital for a well rounded care of his patients.
Dr. Felix is married and blessed with three children. He has very strong family values in tandem with his Christian and Biblical principles and frequently refers to the author of the gospel of Luke as “the Beloved Physician”.
