Meet Dr. Michael Saber
Dr. Saber grew up in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula where he learned from his father, who is also a physician, the importance of respecting each patient and taking the time to listen. “By listening to my patients, I gain their respect. Moreover, often subtle information important in aiding in the diagnosis is revealed in not only what is being said by the patient, but how they say it”.
Dr. Saber earned his Medical Degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. He is a recent graduate of the Michigan State University Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners Internal Medicine Residency Program. He recently moved to the area to be closer to his father who is now retired and living in Central Florida.
We are pleased that Dr. Saber has joined our healthcare team, and he is eager to serve his new patients. “My goal is to provide the best possible care for the patients I serve. The skilled staff at Sinai Healthcare will help me achieve this goal. As a team, we will assure safety and accuracy, respect and dignity, and clinical efficiency for all of our patients”.
In line with Sinai Healthcare’s values, Dr. Saber has a strong commitment to the practice of evidence based medicine (EBM). “Our patient population presents the internist with the task of managing complex patients with multiple medical problems. Following EBM guidelines is paramount to successful outcomes in the treatment of our patients”.
Dr. Saber maintains active membership with The American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association. He has many professional interests including healthcare quality improvement, patient safety, and medical education. He is certified by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and served as Clinical Educator in Internal Medicine at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.
Dr. Saber has active privileges at both The Villages Regional Hospital and The Leesburg Regional Medical Center.
